The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls basketball team celebrated Senior Night with a big win over the rival Washington Demons 64-42 in Wellman Tuesday.

In a game heard on KCII, the Golden Hawks opened the contest on a 17-5 run and never gave up the lead. Mid-Prairie led 37-20 at the half and stretched it out to as many as 27 in the second. The Golden Hawks feasted on 24 Washington turnovers. Mid-Prairie was led by Ali Butters 17 points, Addie Rath had 15 and Ireland Hostetler 11.

Washington was led by Sarah Nacos who scored 17, including hitting four threes. Mid-Prairie honored seniors Ireland Hostetler and Ali Butters on the night. The Golden Hawks also recognized Addie Rath for setting the single season assists record with 97 and Ireland Hostetler setting the single season record for blocked shots with 74. With the win the Mid-Prairie girls are now 15-6 on the season. Washington falls to 5-15.
