The Highland School Board will convene for the third time in as many weeks, this time to focus on their search for a new superintendent. The superintendent search committee – which consists of board members Mike Golden, Rachel Longbine, and Nate Robinson – is expected to report their initial findings to the rest of the board. According to current superintendent Chris Armstrong, whose impending retirement is the reason for the search, the Columbus Community, Lone Tree, and Central City School Districts have expressed interest in sharing a superintendent with Highland. The board has also had interest from a potential interim superintendent.

In addition to the discussion on the superintendent search, the board will also receive a presentation from the Highland Robotics team, who will be fresh off their trip to Coralville for the State Robotics Competition. The meeting is open to the public and will be held Monday at 6 p.m. in the Highland Board Room.
