Tuesday night the Highland girls basketball team saw their season come to an end at the hands of the Danville Bears in the class 2A regional quarterfinal round 57-42 in Riverside.

The Bears started out hot from the floor, specifically from beyond the arc, hitting six first half three pointers to open up a 17-11 lead after one quarter and a 33-15 advantage at the half. Highland won the third quarter outscoring the Bears 15-10 in the frame and pulling within 10, but were unable to get any closer down the stretch. Aly Stokes led the Huskies with her double double 15 points and 12 rebounds, Abbie Miller finished with 12 points. With the loss Highland ends their season at 14-8.
