The Iowa Mennonite School boys and girls basketball teams host the Pekin Panthers tonight at Dwight Gingerich Court at Hillcrest Union in a Southeast Iowa Superconference doubleheader for Senior Night.

The Iowa Mennonite girls come into tonight with an overall record of 0-16. In their last game they fell at Louisa-Muscatine Tuesday 53-37. Suzanna Yoder led IMS in the game with 16 points. On the season Iowa Mennonite is led by Yoder, scoring 18 points per game, sixth best in the Superconference. Yoder also leads IMS with 51 assists, ninth best in the conference. Mia Graber leads the team with 89 rebounds.

Pekin enters play with an overall record of 15-3. The Panthers have beat Winfield-Mt. Union 57-33 on Tuesday led by 31 points and 11 rebounds from Maci Gambell to run their winning streak to 12 straight. On the season Gambell has the team lead and is second best in the Superconference scoring 20 points per game. She also has the team lead and is second in the conference with 188 rebounds. Zoey Wright holds the team lead with 50 assists.

IMS will honor lone senior Calli Shaw during the night’s festivities. These two teams met January 3rd with the Panthers winning 47-43.

The Iowa Mennonite boys come into tonight with an overall record of 13-5. They won their fifth game in a row Tuesday at Louisa-Muscatine 64-57 on the strength of 24 points from Cole Yoder. On the season Iowa Mennonite is led by Nick Yutzy averaging 11 points per game. Yutzy also holds the team lead and is fourth in the conference with 91 assists. Mitchell Schmeider leads IMS on the glass with 78 boards this season.

Pekin enters tonight with an overall record of 9-8. In their last game they beat Winfield-Mt. Union Tuesday 77-73 behind 30 points from Cameron Millikin. On the season Cameron Millikin leads the Panthers at 14 points per game. Caleb Comstock has the team lead with 40 assists. Levi Long is best on the Panthers and sixth in the conference with 94 rebounds.

IMS will honor seniors Adrian Gonzales, Nick Yutzy, Finny Lackender, Drake Brezina and Cole Yoder during the night. These two teams met on January 3rd with IMS taking a 68-61 win.
