The Iowa Mennonite School girls basketball team is on the road in the first round of the class 1A regional tournament tonight when they take on the HLV Lady Warriors in Victor.

The IMS girls enter tonight with an overall record of 0-18. In their last game they were beaten by West Burlington in the Southeast Iowa Superconference Shoot Out 60-32. Suzanna Yoder led the way with 16 points. Yoder leads IMS in scoring and is fifth in the Superconference at 18 points per game. Yoder also has the team lead with 55 assists, ninth in the conference. Mia Graber leads IMS on the glass with 102 rebounds.

HLV comes into tonight with an overall record of 7-14. The Warriors finished 4-12 in the South Iowa Cedar League, finishing in a 10th place tie with Colfax-Mingo in league play. In their last game they beat Tri-County 51-23, led by 17 points from Haley Coats. On the year Kelsea Shaull leads HLV, scoring nine points per game. Brooke Kuesel leads the Warriors and the entire South Iowa Cedar League with 90 assists. Emma Cheney has the team lead and is ninth in the conference with 141 rebounds.

The winner of tonight’s game advances to the regional quarterfinals Tuesday at Springville against the No. 1 ranked Springville Orioles.
