One of the best offensive performances of the season catapulted the Lone Tree Lady Lions into the next round of the Class 1A Region 6 tournament. As heard live on KCII FM 106.1 and KCIIRadio.com the Lions hosted the Keota Eagles (0-22) in the postseason opener. Three Lady Lions scored in double figures leading Lone Tree to a 59-22 victory.

Lone Tree racked up 54 points in the first three-quarters and played 15 girls. Madison Forbes scored a game-high 15 points. Ashley Musser poured in 12 points off the bench while Elena Sieverding added 11. Addison Sprouse scored nine points to lead Keota. The Eagles lose Erin Chalupa and Raigan Sprouse to graduation.

The win is the 17th of the season Lone Tree, advancing the Lady Lions to the regional quarterfinal Tuesday versus the WACO Warriors (7-15). WACO’s Kristen Conelly scored 20 points to lead the Warriors past the Winfield-Mount Union Wolves (7-16), 57-29. W-MU’s Hannah Matthews scored 13 points in her final high school basketball game.
