A putback bucket at the buzzer ended the postseason run for the Lone Tree Lady Lions (18-6). As heard live on AM/FM KCII and KCIIRadio.com, the Lady Lions traveled to Easton Valley High School for Class 1A Region 6 semifinal game against the Riverhawks (15-6). Easton Valley’s Melissa Strait scored her only points of the game on a layup as time expired and the Riverhawks edged the Lady Lions, 43-41.

The game featured 15 lead changes and was tied five times. Lone Tree had two players score in double figures. Madison Forbes had a team-best 16 points while Elena Sieverding added 10. Kiley Petersen scored 11 points to lead Easton Valley.

Lone Tree’s season ends with a record of 18-6 overall, a three-win improvement from last year. The Lady Lions lose Forbes, Sieverding, Maryssa Grover, and Liz Dodson to graduation.
