Mid-Prairie senior wrestler Visouth Peterschmidt has put his name amongst the Golden Hawk greats in the Mid-Prairie wrestling record book.

Peterschmidt broke the single season record for three point near-falls, posting 46 his senior year. The previous record was 36, held by Sol Miller. He also broke the career three point near-fall record with 92 in his time as a Golden Hawk, the previous record was 79 held by Terrie McCain. Peterschmidt also finished fifth on the all-time career wins list for the school with 138 victories. He won his third straight Ironman Award within the program, attending 158 consecutive practices over the last three years.

Peterschmidt wrapped up his Mid-Prairie career with a fourth place finish at 182lbs in the individual state wrestling tournament last week in Des Moines.
