Emergency responders and public officials have been invited to attend a pipeline safety awareness and emergency response program in Washington Thursday. The training will provide instruction on pipeline safety, leak recognition, hazard awareness, damage prevention and incident response information. The event is held by the Iowa Pipeline Association, which holds such meetings across the state each year between February and April. The free event in Washington begins with a dinner at 6 p.m. followed by the program at 6:30 p.m. It will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Washington. To register click here.
