Washington has experienced warmer than usual temperatures this week, with record high temperatures Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday. Temperatures Wednesday reached 77 degrees, breaking the record of 66 degrees set in 2000. State Climatologist Harry Hillaker explains the temperatures set records across the state this week, for the first time there were six consecutive days in February with somewhere in Iowa recording temperatures above 70 degrees.
