Several area girls basketball teams will take part in the annual Southeast Iowa Super Conference Shootout games tonight. The event pits the league’s north division teams against the south. The first place teams from each section will face one another. Also, the second place teams in each division through the ninth place teams will play each other. The games will take place at five south division schools with the even seeded teams hosting two varsity games. The first contest will tip off at 6 p.m. and the second will start 15 minutes following the completion of the first.

The Lone Tree Lady Lions (16-3) placed second in the SEISC North standings and will go to Van Buren High School for a contest versus the Warriors (14-5). The matchup will follow the game between the Pekin Panthers (15-3) and the Notre Dame Nikes (14-5).

The Highland Huskies (14-5) had the fourth-best finish in the north division and will travel to Danville for a matchup with the Bears (11-8). The two teams met in Danville on January 19 and Highland came away with a 43-35 win. The rematch will take place following a game between the Wapello Arrows (10-9) and the Holy Trinity Catholic Crusaders (9-10).

The WACO Warriors (4-14) and the Columbus Wildcats (9-9) are headed to New London today. The Warriors finished seventh in the south division and will compete against the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons (6-14) in the opening contest. The Wildcats placed sixth in the north standings and will play in the second game versus New London (9-9).

Iowa Mennonite School (0-16) and the Winfield-Mount Union Wolves (6-14) teams will make a trip to Eldon. IMS ended with a ninth-place finish in the north division and will play in game one versus West Burlington (1-19). W-MU is in eighth place in the SEISC North and will square off against the Cardinal Comets (1-17) in the nightcap.

The first place game features the Mediapolis Bullettes (14-5) against the Central Lee Hawks (16-3) in Donnellson. The squads’ junior varsity teams will play in a preliminary game at 6 p.m.
