A 20-win season led to multiple all-conference selections for the Sigourney Savages girls’ basketball team (20-5). Five players represent Sigourney on the South Iowa Cedar League All-Conference squads.

The coaches of the conference named Autumn Barthelman and Brooke Waechter to the first team. Barthelman shared the conference scoring title with Lynnville-Sully’s Brenna Lanser with 434 points scored. Her 117 steals was 37 more than the rest of the league and her 94 assists are the second most in the conference. Waecheter finished second on the team and ranked sixth in the conference with 292 points scored. Her 80 steals was the second most in the conference.

Summer Barthelman was chosen to the second team all-conference squad. She ranked fourth on the team with 122 points scored and 72 rebounds secured. Anna Ohland and Leah Carter are honorable mention selections.

The Sigourney Savages ended the year with a 20-5 record under first-year head coach Zach Tremmel. The Savages lose Ohland to graduation.
