Approximately 11.8% of Iowa is abnormally dry at this time, the same rate of drought conditions seen in the state last week. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, most of southeast Iowa is abnormally dry at this time. The area includes most of Washington, Keokuk, Henry, Louisa, and Jefferson counties. Our neighbor to the south, Missouri is considerably dry with 8.5% in moderate drought and nearly 89% abnormally dry.
