Multiple road games await the Washington Demon basketball teams this week. The Demon boys and girls basketball teams are opening the week battling the Keokuk Chiefs in a Southeast Conference doubleheader. The pair of games was originally scheduled for December 16 but was postponed due to winter weather.

The Washington girls basketball team (5-13) is coming off a non-conference loss to the Clear Creek Amana Clippers (12-7), 54-42, Saturday at Washington High School. Sarah Nacos led Washington in scoring with eight points. Morgan Brinning, Isabel Bailey, and Kira Ropp added six points each. Keokuk (11-6) looks to avoid back-to-back losses after falling to the Fairfield Trojans (14-5) Friday, 46-39. The Chiefs defeated the Demons, 49-22, on January 27.

The Washington Demon boys basketball team (5-11) also lost to Clear Creek Amana (2-14) on Saturday, 61-52. Mason Rich and Jacob Van Osdol scored nine points apiece. Cale Hobscheidt and Bryce Sinn added seven points each. Keokuk is coming off a 52-24 loss to Fairfield (8-9) on Friday. The Demons bested the Chiefs, 58-47, on January 27.
