It’s been another busy stretch for the Washington Demon bowling teams. They finished their Southeast Conference bowling season at Lebowski’s Rock ‘N’ Bowl Saturday versus the Fairfield Trojans and concluded regular season competition Monday versus Louisa-Muscatine Falcons. The Demons enter the postseason on a pair of setbacks.

The boys’ meet between Washington and Fairfield was decided by less than five pins as the Trojans emerged victorious, 2,735-2,731. Bailey Curtis rolled Washington’s best individual round at 425 points. Kylan Gillette tallied 350, while Colin Zear had a score of 347. The Demons led after the individual round, 1,832-1,819; they outscored in the baker round, 916-899. The Fairfield girls’ bowling team defeated the Demons, 2,256-1,967. Washington’s Dawsen Schluetter bowled a team-best 277, while Rylie Swart added 276. The Demons tallied 1,303 pins in the individual round and added an additional 664 in the baker rounds.

The Louisa-Muscatine Falcons handed the Washington Demon bowling teams a pair of losses Monday at the Rose Bowl. The Falcons edged the Demons in the boys’ meet, 2,836-2,493. Zear collected Washington’s highest individual score of 467. Tucker Renoux added 327 points. Washington collected 1,700 points in round one and added 793 more in the baker rounds. Louisa-Muscatine defeated Washington in the girls’ meet, 2,800-1,955. Trista Kelly posted a score of 294 to lead the Demons. Washington scored 1,251 points in the individual round and 704 in the baker rounds.

The Washington bowling teams will compete in the annual Southeast Conference meet Saturday in Mount Pleasant. First pins are set to drop at 1 p.m. at the Iris Bowling Center.
