A public hearing date has been set regarding the potential sale of the Washington former public library on East Main Street. Tuesday the Washington City Council met in closed session and set the hearing for disposal of property February 21st during their meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. At last week’s council meeting City Administrator Brent Hinson explained an offer had been presented on the building. The deadline on the current offer is March 3rd. Details of who made the offer and for what amount of money have not been disclosed at this time.
