Washington High School FFA students took part in a sub-district competition Monday and their success moves them on to the district contest in March. At Davis County High School in Bloomfield Monday, FFA students took part in a variety of contests. Washington had multiple students receive gold ratings and advance to districts, including Morgan Brinning in public speaking, Ellie Todd in FFA Creed speaking, and Ben Schiefer and Griffin Wood in agriculture welding. Also, Gracie Greiner received a gold rating and is an alternate to districts in the job interview competition. Ellie Bell, Sophie Bell, and Hailey Shultz received gold ratings in the greenhand quiz contest. The District FFA contests will be held in Muscatine on March 4th.
