The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls track team opens the outdoor season today when they travel to Iowa City Regina.

The Golden Hawks have been in action twice so far on the year, both indoors. They opened the season at the Iowa State University Classic in Ames and then participated at Thursday’s River Valley Conference Indoor Championships at Cornell College in Mount Vernon. Highlights so far on the season include Anna Hostetler winning the 1500m and 3000m runs at Iowa State, Marie Hostetler finished runner up in the same events on the night. At the RVC meet, Kylee Kos won her flight in the shot put, the 4×800 relay team of Abby Tornow, Greta Schmidt, and Anna and Marie Hostetler were runners up.

Joining Mid-Prairie at Regina are Clear Creek Amana, Anamosa and the home standing Regals. Action begins today at noon, at Iowa City Regina High School.
