A third place finish in the South Iowa Cedar League standings has led to multiple postseason honors for the Keota Eagles boys’ basketball team (17-6). The coaches of the conference released this year’s all-conference teams, and four Eagles are on the squad.

Jacob Wickenkamp highlights the Eagles’ selections as a first-team all-conference performer. Wickenkamp led the league and was fourth in Class 1A basketball with 167 assists. Wickenkamp closed the season tied with teammate Cole Stout with 291 points scored. He also swiped a team-best 41 steals.

Stout is a member of the all-conference second team. He topped the conference and finished second the Class 1A with 91 made three point baskets. His 36 steals ranked second on the team, and his 10 blocks were the fourth most.

Avery Conrad and Hunter Wilson are Keota’s honorable mention selections.

Keota closed the season with a record of 17-6 overall. The Eagles lose Anthony Campbell, Conrad, Stout, Jace Uphold, and Wickenkamp to graduation.
