Former Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk Amber Kral has continued her torrid pace at the plate in the early season for the Minnesota State Mavericks.

In their most recent action, the Mavericks have swept six straight games in Florida. They have beaten Urbana 15-0, No. 13 Southern Indiana 2-1, Lewis 5-2, Mercyhurst 8-1, Georgian Court 13-4, and Wilmington 9-0.

During that stretch Kral has gone 11 for 20 at the plate, a sweltering .550 average. She has slugged six home runs, including homering in her first three consecutive at bats, a pair of doubles and one triple, while driving in 17 runs and scoring nine times. Overall for the year she is hitting .420 with 21 total hits, 24RBI, eight homers and 17 runs scored.

Kral and the Mavericks put their 13-3 record and seven game win streak on the line today when they take the diamond in Florida for matchups with Saint Anselm and Holy Family.
