The Mid-Prairie boys track team traveled to Mount Vernon for the River Valley Conference indoor championships Thursday night on the campus of Cornell College.

The Golden Hawks had one event championship on the night, the 4×400 team of Peyton Miller, Cary Schaefer, Quinn Schmidt and Marshall Teets were best on the track with a time of 3:37.58. In other events, Terrhyn Jacoby won his flight of the 60m dash with a time of 7.43 seconds. Micah Gugel was second in his flight in the shot put with a throw of 37’10”. Miles Burrows was also flight runner up in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.53 seconds. In the long jump Marshall Teets took fourth in his flight, clearing 18’5.25″. Kyle Miller was fourth in his flight in the high jump, clearing 6’2″. The 4x800m relay team of Schwartz, Kyle, Foster and Nonneman were sixth in 9:12.19. Brad Tornow took sixth in the 800m with a time of 2:17.86. Spencer Yutzy was seventh in his flight in the 1600m with a time of 5:48.99. The 4×200 team of Jacoby, Duwa, Boyse and Miller finished ninth in 1:42.19. Colton Hobbs was 15th in the 200 with a time of 27.46 seconds. The Mid-Prairie boys will next be in action Saturday when they travel to the Cornell outdoor meet in Mount Vernon.
