The week before Valentine’s Day PAWS and More animal shelter in Washington set the goal of having 60 cats adopted in 60 days. Director of the shelter Amber Talbot told KCII News that in 2016 they had an increase of about 100 cat intakes at the shelter and have many cats needing homes. Talbot says they exceeded their goal, they had 62 cat adoptions in February alone, “We hope to keep the momentum going through April before spring babies fill up the shelter, we still have 70 cats at the shelter.” The shelter is open this weekend.
