Fresh off their best dual finish in program history, the Washington Demon wrestling team (29-3) is well-represented on this year’s all-conference team. Thirteen Demons are on this year’s All-Southeast Conference squad after capturing their fourth straight conference title in January.

Seven Washington wrestlers are on the first-team all-conference squad. They include Walker Ikerd (106), Dillan Sanders (120), Kyle Anderson (126), Austin Hazelett (145), Trey Van Weelden (152), Tristin Westphal-Edwards (160), and Karlton Skubal (195). Six Demons garnered second-team all-conference honors including Garrett Ikerd (113), Alex Latcham (132), Andrew Waite (138), Logan Escher (170), Colin Murphy (182), and Mitchell Huisenga (285).

In addition, Anderson, managers Emily Hora and Maggie Voss, and cheerleaders Alexis Edwards and Baylee Stalder were named to the Southeast Conference’s All-Academic team. Members of the academic all-conference squad must be a junior or a senior who posted a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher during the season.

The Washington wrestling team finished with a dual record of 29-3 and placed fourth in the Class 2A state dual tournament. The Demons lose Anderson, Hazelett, Latcham, Lane Keeler, Skubal, Waite and Van Weelden to graduation.
