The 8th grade Washington girls track team took second place on Tuesday at the Panther Relays in Mount Pleasant.

Mid-Prairie won the meet with a total of 118 points as Washington brought in 91 points for the second place finish. Burlington rounded out the top three with 86 points. Highlighting the action for the Demons was the first place 4×800 meter relay team with a time of 12:33:23 consisting of Alivia Emry, Trina Griffin, Sydney Cuddeback, and Sarah Hall. Kelli Dallmeyer posted a second place finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 19.03. Third place finishes include Brynn Beenblossom in the 200 hurdles, the shuttle hurdle relay team consisting of Josie Tanner, Ava Reed, Beenblossom, and Sophia Kleese, and the 4×400 meter relay team of Kleese, Emry, Beenblossom, and Tanner.

The Demons are back in action Monday night at Washington High School starting at 4:30 p.m.
