The 2017 County Professional Excellence in Agriculture and Natural Resources Programming Award from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach has been presented to Nancy Adrian of Washington County. Adrian is the Country Director of Washington County Extension and has been with the office for 15 years. The recognition is presented to someone who demonstrates outstanding work for “innovation or initiative to respond to needs at the county level around agricultural production, management, or around environmental stewardship.” Adrian has been instrumental in programming for Beginning Young Farmers, Women in Agronomy, and the first Women in Agriculture Conference in Washington County.
