The Washington Demon girls soccer team fell to the Mediapolis Bullettes 5-1 Thursday at the Washington soccer complex.
It was the Demons that struck first with Jessie Buchholz driving a shot to the back of the net in the 22nd minute giving Washington a 1-0 lead. The Bullettes found the equalizer in the 24th minute and the game stayed knotted going into the half. Out of the break, MEPO took the lead on a 51st minute goal and never looked back, posting three more insurance tallies to finish the win. With the loss Washington is now 0-7 on the year and will travel to Oskaloosa Monday.
