The Washington girls’ golf team faces off against Ottumwa tonight in Washington.

The Demons’ Sarah Nacos leads the charge by posting a 40 last week in their opening meet of the season against Mid-Prairie. The defending two-time state champion took first place at the meet where the Demons beat the Golden Hawks by a score of 197 to Mid- Prairie’s 228.Through two meets, Ottumwa comes into the day with a team average of 222 strokes per nine holes. Kjierstin Ridgeway paces the Bulldogs by averaging 51 strokes in the first two contests of the season.

Action gets started at 4 p.m. tonight at Washington Golf and Country Club.
