The Washington girls track team traveled to Eddyville-Blakesburg Thursday night for the Rocket Relays.

Washington finished second with 120 points. Fairfield won the meet with 142 points. The Demons scored eight event championships on the night. Hannah Anderson took the 100 with a time of 13.19 seconds, and the 200 title in 26.60 seconds. Ashley Telleen won the 400 in 1:03.99 and the 400 hurdles in 1:12.06. Claire Horak was a winner in the 800 with a time of 2:35.52. In relay events, the Demon team of Makenzi Marek, Demeri Bell, Victoria Barber and Hannah Anderson won the 4×100. The 4×200 team of Leah Marek, Isabel Bailey, Makenzi Marek and Jenah Greiner were also champions and the 800 sprint medley team of Leah Marek, Jenah Greiner, Ashley Telleen and Isabel Bailey took the title.

Other top finishers for the Demons included Jenah Greiner third in the 100, Leah Marek third in the 200 and the 4×800 team of Meredith Raber, Molly Sparks, Addison Six and Claire Horak finishing in third place. The Demon girls track team will next be in action Tuesday when they go to Mount Pleasant.
