The Washington Demons girls soccer team is set for their first game of the season tonight hosting West Liberty.

After a pair of cancellations last week, the Demons start their season with some key returners from last year mixed with many newcomers. The Demons bring back their second leading scorer from a year ago senior Jessie Buchholz, which included twenty-five shots on goal. Junior goalie Jessica Hora looks to build off her 2016 campaign of 208 saves and a save percentage of 70%. Newcomers for the Demons include Alexis Edwards, Isabela Garcia Larios, Breanna Brinning, and Grace Shafer Smith. West Liberty is 0-2 on the young season losing to Solon and Cedar Valley Christian last week.

Action gets started at 4:30 p.m. today at Washington High School.
