The Washington girls track team hosted the 43rd Annual Washington Girls Relays Thursday at Case Field.

The Demons placed third in the six team field with their score of 101 points. Benton Community won the title with 139 points. Washington crowned four event champions on the night. Hannah Anderson won the long jump with a leap of 15’10.25”. Anderson also took the 100 with a time of 12.57 seconds. The Demon 4×200 team of Leah Marek, Ashley Telleen, Jenah Greiner and Anderson took the title in 1:49.14 and the Washington 4×400 team of Telleen, Greiner, Isabel Bailey and Anderson were champs in 4:19.29.

Other top finishes for Washington included Isabel Bailey runner-up in the long jump and 400, Ashley Telleen third in the 200, the shuttle hurdle team of Demeri Bell, Michaela Hoffman, Victoria Barber and Kennedy Slagel third, and the thrower relay team of Gracie Greiner, Olivia Pacha, Kira Ropp and Lupita Delarosa third.

The Washington girls track team will now await the announcement of the qualifying fields for the Drake Relays next week. The Demons will also travel to WACO.
