The Washington boys’ golf team dominated Tuesday in their meet at Fort Madison against the Bloodhounds and Fairfield.

On a windy night the Demons cruised to a convincing 30 stroke win with a team total of 159 strokes. Fort Madison grabbed second in the nine-hole meet with a total of 189 strokes and Fairfield took third with a score of 201. The Demons posted the four best scores of the day paced by medalist Jacob Van Osdol who shot an even par and personal best score of 36. Brock Sobaski continues his impressive freshman campaign by placing second with a score of 40 and teammate Noah Enfield was right behind him posting a 41. Rounding out the top six for the Demons are Dalton Myers with a 42, Mason Rich a 43, and Tanner Coleman with a 44.

With the win the Demons lowered their team season average to 159.25 strokes per nine holes and sets them up for an anticipated rematch with Mt. Pleasant today. Last week, the Panthers edged the Demons by two strokes resulting in Washington’s only defeat of the year.

The conference showdown starts at 4 p.m. tonight at Mt. Pleasant Golf and Country Club.
