The Washington Demon girls track team traveled to Mediapolis Friday night, braving the cool, damp conditions to compete at the Bullette Invitational.

Washington placed second out of seven teams with their overall score of 132 points. Pekin won the team championship with 151 points. Washington had five event championships on the night. Hannah Anderson brought home three of those titles, taking the 100m dash in a time of 13.02 seconds, the 400m dash in 1:01.99 and the long jump, clearing 17′ .5”. Claire Horak was a two time winner at the event. Horak won the 1500m with a time of 5:39.97 and the 3000m in 12:12.03. Other top finishes for Washington included Anderson finishing runner-up in the 200, Ashley Telleen as runner-up in the 400 hurdles, the Washington 800 sprint medley team of Victoria Barber, Jenah Greiner, Leah Marek and Telleen finishing as runners-up and the Demon distance medley team of Marek, Isabel Bailey, Greiner and Horak taking the runner-up spot.

The Washington girls track team will next be in action tonight when they travel to Williamsburg.
