The college basketball career of 2013 Lone Tree graduate Bryan Forbes ended with postseason honors. Forbes, a senior guard on the Briar Cliff University men’s basketball team, helped the Chargers clinch their third straight trip to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) national tournament. He’s a NAIA All-American honorable mention selection for the second straight season.

Forbes posted a team-high 25 points in Briar Cliff’s 80-75 loss to the Bellevue University Bruins in the opening round of the NAIA Division II basketball tournament. He finished his senior season with 594 points, an average of 17.5 points per game. He also tallied a team-high 261 rebounds, 64 steals, and 27 blocks. Forbes recorded eight of the Chargers’ nine double-doubles this winter.

Briar Cliff closed the season with a 26-8 overall record. Forbes is one of six graduating seniors.
