The Mid-Prairie girls track team hosted the Golden Hawk Girls Relays Thursday at Dwight G. Sattler Field in Wellman.
Mid-Prairie was fourth out of 10 teams with 87.50 points. Solon won the meet with 130. The Golden Hawks had three championships on the night, all from Anna Hostetler. She won the 800 with a time of 2:25.27, the 1500 in 4:58.80 and the 3000 in 10:05.84.
Other top finishes for the Golden Hawks included Marie Hostetler finishing runner-up in the 800, 1500 and 3000. The Mid-Prairie 4×100 team of Kessa Jones, Abby Tornow, Greta Schmidt and Abbagail Evans was second, The 4×800 team of Tornow, Kate Cavanagh, Schmit and Jones were second. Tornow was third in the 200 and the 4×400 team of Kitty Conway, Tornow, Schmidt and Evans was third.
The Mid-Prairie girls track team will now await the announcement of the qualifying fields for the Drake Relays next week. The Golden Hawks will also travel to Highland May 1st.
