The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls soccer team saw their three game winning streak come to an end Thursday night in Wellman at the hands of the No. 4 Iowa City Regina Regals by a 10-0 mercy rule final.

Lauren Gaarde set the tone early for Regina, completing a first half hat trick. At the break those were the only goals on the board giving the Regals a 3-0 advantage.

In the second half Gaarde added two more tallies, Anna Ziniel scored twice, Alexa Lehman once, Kimberly Flores once, and a Mid-Prairie own goal ended the game early.

With the loss the Golden Hawks are now 3-2 and will host Burlington, Notre Dame Tuesday.
