The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys track team raced by the competition Thursday night at the Hawk Relays at Dwight G. Sattler Field in Wellman.

Mid-Prairie posted a team score of 152 to win the title. Lisbon was second with 138. The Golden Hawks won six event championships on the night. Levi Duwa was a two-time winner, taking the discus with a throw of 141′ and the shot put with a toss of 57′ 9.5”. Cary Schaefer won the 400 in 52.12 seconds. Floyd Evans was champion in the 3200 in 10:14.50. Peyton Miller out ran the field in the 400 hurdles with a time of 56.20 seconds and Marshall Teets won the high jump clearing 6′.

Other top finishes for the Golden Hawks included Terrhyn Jacoby third in the 100, Brad Tornow third in the 800, Zach Pettit and Floyd Evans two and three respectively in the 1600, Pettit was runner-up in the 3200. Kyle Miller was second in the high jump. The Golden Hawk 4×800 relay team of Peyton Miller, Andrew Schwartz, Marshall Teets and Quinn Schmidt were runners up and the shuttle hurdle relay team of Miles Burrows, Elmir Ganibegovic, Justin Schwartz and Brent Foster finished second.

The Highland Huskies were also at the meet, finishing seventh in the seven team field with a score of 20 points. Best finishes included Trey Lasek third in the high jump, clearing 5’8”, Bill Burton third in the long jump with a leap of 18’11” and Zach Lasek fifth in the discus.
