The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls track team traveled to Tiffin Friday night for the Creek Classic Relays at Clear Creek Amana High School.

Mid-Prairie finished with 97.5 points. Mount Vernon won the meet with 146 points. The Golden Hawks grabbed four championships on the night. Marie Hostetler won the 3000, setting a new school record in 10:03.20. Anna Hostetler was a winner in the 800 with a time of 2:21.05 and also took the 1500 in 4:49.12. The Mid-Prairie distance medley team of Abby Tornow, Abbagail Evans, and Anna and Marie Hostetler took the championship in 4:28.03.

Other top finishes for the Golden Hawks included a runner-up spot in the 4×800 with a team of Tornow, Kate Cavanagh, Greta Schmidt and Evans with their time of 10:26.50. Kessa Jones was third in the 400 hurdles in 1:16.25 and the 4×400 team of Anna Hostetler, Evans, Schmidt and Tornow were third in 4:20.77.

The Mid-Prairie girls will next be in action Monday when they travel to Iowa Valley.
