The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys soccer team hosts the Highland Huskies tonight in Wellman.

Mid-Prairie enters tonight’s game with a 2-3 overall record following a 1-0 loss to the Columbus Wildcats on the road Friday night. Cian Borra leads the Mid-Prairie attack with five goals on the season. Jason Tew leads the team with four assists. In goal, Ryan Miller has 11 saves.

Highland enters tonight with an overall record of 0-7. The Huskies fell on the road to Wapello Thursday 2-1. The Huskies have been outscored 48-4 so far this year. Caleb Brase has three of the four goals on the year for the Huskies. Cristian Arciga has the other tally for Highland. Arciga also has an assist to lead Highland. Tyler Striegel has 96 saves in goal for Highland, sixth most in the state in class 1A.

These two teams met on April 3rd with Mid-Prairie taking a 10-0 win in just 65 minutes of game action. Terrhyn Jacoby led the Golden Hawks in the match with a hat trick.

Action begins tonight at 5 p.m. in Wellman.
