Less than 5% of Iowa is abnormally dry at this time. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, last week over 11.5% of the state was abnormally dry but that fell to 4.65% this week. The dry area includes most or all of Washington, Louisa, Jefferson, and Henry Counties, along with a corner of Keokuk County. At this time last year, none of Iowa was experiencing drought conditions.
