The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys soccer team wasted no time taking control on the road Monday night, blasting the Highland Huskies in Riverside by a 10-0 score.

The Golden Hawks scored three goals in the game’s first fifteen minutes. Mid-Prairie led 4-0 at the break on the strength of two Ryan Harapat goals and one tally apiece from Terrhyn Jacoby and David Bayliss. After the half, Mid-Prairie’s Jacoby finished his hat trick with back-to-back goals seven minutes into the second to raise the lead to 6-0. Mid-Prairie finished out the 10-0 mercy rule victory 23 minutes early with two goals from Cian Borra, and one apiece from David Bayliss and Jason Tew.

Mid-Prairie ended the night with nine assists on their 10 goals with two from Jason Tew and one apiece from Bayliss, Borra, Mason Hartley, Nick Ives, Jacoby, and Jose Juarez. Mid-Prairie is now 1-0 on the year and will next be in action Thursday when they travel to No. 9 West Liberty.
