Washington received about a quarter of an inch of rain this week, but most of the county remains abnormally dry. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, drought conditions in Iowa are unchanged from last week to this week with 4.64% of the state abnormally dry. The dry area includes all of Jefferson and Henry Counties, most of Louisa and Washington Counties, and the southeast corner of Keokuk County. At this time last year, no drought conditions were present in Iowa.
