Washington County is looking for an Emergency Management Coordinator. Currently Washington and Keokuk Counties share, however in 2016 Washington County decided to move forward with having it’s own, full-time coordinator. The position is “responsible for the development of countywide emergency operations plans and coordination of emergency planning systems, and operations relating to hazardous materials, shelter systems, natural or environmental disasters, and other related catastrophes.” The selected coordinator must reside in Washington County within 90 days of hire and have the ability to be on-call 24/7.
