The Washington boys golf team hosts the annual Demon Invitational today at the Washington Golf and Country Club. The five-team meet also includes Columbus Community, Fort Madison, Mount Pleasant, and Burlington Notre Dame.

The Demons look to continue their season success fresh off a meet win at Mount Pleasant on Thursday. Just a week after losing to the Panthers by two strokes, the Demons got their sweet revenge by beating them 156 to 176 in team totals. On a cool and windy night, Jacob Van Osdol continued to lower his scores as he posted a personal and meet best of 35 strokes.  Dalton Myers grabbed a 39 marking his fourth round this season of being in the 30s. Rounding out the Demons’ top four were Brock Sobaski and Tanner Coleman each shooting a 41.

Columbus comes into today’s action with a team average of 235 per nine holes. The Wildcats are led by Erik Rees who has posted a team best score of 46 and has a season average of 48.67 strokes.

The 18-hole meet gets started at 9 a.m. today at Washington Golf and Country Club.
