The Washington, WACO, and Winfield-Mt. Union girls’ track teams competed at the Panther Relays in Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday night.

Washington came in sixth in the 19-team meet with a total of 54.5 points. Cedar Rapids Prairie took home the crown winning the meet with 162 points. Headlining the action for the Demons was freshman Hannah Anderson who grabbed a pair of first place finishes including the long jump with a leap of 16’4’’ and the 100m dash with a time of 12.58 seconds. To cap off Anderson’s night she was also a part of the winning 4×400 team. Joining her in the event was Ashley Telleen, Jenah Greiner, and Isabel Bailey. Other notable finishes for the Demons include the second place 4×200 team of Leah Marek, Ashley Telleen, Jenah Greiner, and Hannah Anderson with a time of 1:48.47.

WACO finished the night with 36 points in part by the first place 4×100 meter relay team of Laney Graber, McKenna White, Kiana Miller, and Kasey Sutton. Miller later found success in the 100m dash by posting a third place time of 13.34 seconds. Winfield also competed at the event, they finished with 19 total points. Highlighted action for the Wolves includes a second place finish for Cecilia Hemsworth in the 800m dash with a time of 2:33.25. Pearl Krieger-Coble also grabbed valuable points for the Huskies with a second place finish of her own in the 1500m dash with a time of 5:24.77.

The Demons will next be in action tonight at home while the Warriors travel to WMU for their host meet.
