Washington is on par with the normal amount of precipitation for the first three weeks of April. According to the National Weather Service, Washington has observed 1.98 inches of rain, just below the normal 2.03 inches. Wednesday Washington received 0.23 inches of precipitation. A severe thunderstorm watch was in effect for Washington, Keokuk and Louisa Counties from 11 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday. Henry County had hail about a quarter of an inch in diameter fall in New London.
