Contributions from all around helped the 8th grade boys Demon track team on Tuesday night in Fairfield.
Out of the seven teams participating, Washington finished the night fourth overall with 58 points. Ottumwa took home the team title with 161 points. Highlighting Washington’s action was the top finishing shuttle hurdle relay team of Spencer Sotelo, Wyatt Stout, Reece Mayer, and Brian Martin with a time of 1:07.38. Five second-place finishes were the bulk of the Demons’ points led by Wyatt Stout in the high jump and Wilx Witthoft in the discus. The 4×100, 4×200, and the sprint medley relay also managed second place. Other notable finishes for the Demons include Kael Adam getting third in the shot put and Zach Stout was sixth in the long jump.
The Demons will wrap up their season on Monday night as they head to Burlington High School for the southeast conference meet.
