Next week the 2017 State Track and Field meet will be held and many area athletes have qualified to compete.
Washington’s Hannah Anderson is moving on in the long jump and 100 meter dash, and the 4×200 team will run on the blue oval. Mid-Prairie’s boys’ team won the state qualifier meet. The Mid-Prairie girls will be taking eight events to the state meet, including three apiece for Anna and Marie Hostetler. Five events will have athletes from the Lone Tree boys track team. Also going to the state meet are two events for the Highland girls, two each for the Columbus boys and Columbus girls, WACO boys’ shuttle hurdle relay, three events for Sigourney boys and five for the Sigourney girls team.
