Area High Schools Hold Graduation Ceremonies This Weekend

Many high school seniors will soon be passing their tassel from one side of the cap to the other at commencement ceremonies.

Highland’s ceremony takes place on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the high school gym. Keota High School’s graduation is Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the high school gym. Senior Bianca Cardona will be giving a speech titled “Keota Walls”. The speech was chosen from the senior English class speech writing competition by Keota faculty. Winfield-Mt. Union’s graduation is on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the high school gym with speeches expected from the valedictorian and salutatorian. Spanish teacher Scott McCarty will be the keynote speaker. Wapello High School will have commencement ceremonies on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the high school gym.
