After official times and performances were tallied in the state office Friday, local performances proved to be in top marks and qualified for the state track and field meet in Des Moines next week.

The Washington High School boys team now has one representative advancing in Caleb Bex. The Demon girls added two events, Hannah Anderson in the 200 and Ashley Tellen in the 400m hurdles. Mid-Prairie’s boys’ team added four events and the girls added two. Iowa Mennonite School has a lone state qualifier with Suzanna Yoder in the 400. Following Friday’s tallies, Lone Tree’s girls team had two events qualify, the Keota boys had three, the Sigourney boys added three events, and the Sigourney girls added one event.
