Two rounds of severe storms hit southeast Iowa Wednesday and residents are still cleaning up branches, trees, and damaged buildings.

City of Washington Maintenance and Construction Superintendent JJ Bell says city crews will pick up debris on Monday, giving residents the weekend to clean up. Limbs should be placed in the terrace area between the street and sidewalk. Also, the Waste Water Treatment Plant is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and this Saturday and next from 7-10 a.m. for homeowners to haul their own yard waste for disposal.
